About Us:

The Gladewater Opry is a two hour country music stage show. The show is housed in the historical "CozyTheater", in Gladewater, Texas, (circa 1936). In the early fifties, according to the local community, young artists such as Elvis, competed in contests held at the theater.  Today, the Opry provides a family atmosphere for entertainers of all ages, musicians and songwriters, to perform.  The Opry books over 500 people a year from around the Ark-La-Tex and surrounding areas.  Specialty show favorites include the "50's Show", the "Legends Show", the "Hee Haw Show", and the "Christmas Show". The Opry also boast an annual award show to honor the entertainers that perform throughout the year.. it is the biggest show of the year.
The owners, Jim and Nancy Ivy, have been in the music stage production business since 1982.  The theater has been a music stage show since the early eighties, with Jim and Nancy taking ownership in 1996. With Jim on stage and Nancy producing the show... they have a formula that has been very successful, and beginning in 2001, led to five consecutive "Opry of the Year" wins awarded by the Country Music Organizations of America (CMOA). The Opry has had many talented musicians and artists cross the stage over the years, and they just keep coming!
