About us:
Richard Steltzner established his first Stags Leap District Vineyards in 1965 while concurrently engaging in vineyards management. Steltzner Vineyards' first commercial release was in 1977, and the Steltzner Family established their own modest facility in 1983, with a 3,000 case capacity here in the Stags Leap District.
Steltzner Vineyards produces a wide variety of wines, including Bordeaux varieties and Syrah. Over the years, the couple slowly expanded their winery on Stags Leap to include underground tunnels and a tasting room. Steltzner Vineyards is open to visitors year round. We invite you to stop in and take a taste of what we grow. We are open daily for tasting and offer barrel tasting tours by prior appointment.
