Pierre Players: providing opportunity and experiences in quality community theatre.

Pierre Players is a community theater organization providing entertainment to the community and an outlet for those who love theater.  Pierre Players strives to bring the audience into the moment!

History:

The first full season of Pierre Players was 1967-1968. During the past 40+years, Pierre Players has produced 183 shows (as of 8/21/11) and sponsored 12 touring productions. In addition, more than 14,000 people have volunteered their time and talents in these productions.

The first production in the Grand Opera House (Studio 109) was "No Sex Please, We're British" in 1977. Prior to the Grand Opera House, productions were staged at various churches, schools, the Pierre City Auditorium, the Legion Cabin, senior centers and even as far away as Mobridge, Gettysburg and Redfield.

Pierre Players is now the longest continuously-running community theatre group in South Dakota.
