Our Mission:
Ohio Shakespeare Festival is a troupe of artists presenting live, professional theatre dedicated to performing vibrant, exciting, accessible classic plays and adaptations of classic literature. We celebrate the value and beauty of classic stories while more accurately representing the diverse people of our modern society.
We embrace a Festival atmosphere by performing in multiple cultural venues in Akron: outdoors at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and indoors at Greystone Hall.
Vision Statement:
We will establish Ohio Shakespeare Festival as a premier Akron landmark and national Shakespeare destination by producing exceptional classic plays across multiple venues, all while paying our participating artists.
