Meriden YuleFest started in 2018 from the imagination of Carrie Teele and Dave Grodzicki, to bring Holiday cheer to downtown Meriden. From their imagination of Holiday lights, Santa arriving via train and a community event, the Meriden YuleFest committee was formed. In 6 weeks of planning the 1st Meriden YuleFest strarted to come to life on Colony St. The lights were strung, garland was hung, lighting ceremony was done and on Nov. 24th the 1st Meriden YuleFest was born. Vendors filled 24 Colony St. to sell their goods, food trucks, music, kid games, and local studios did their on street performances. Residents from Meriden and surrounding towns came to Colony St., with much excitement with the arrival of Santa coming into town via train.
