Our farm is located just north of Shreveport, LA nestled in some of the best farm land in Caddo Parish. DixieMaze Farms covers about 100 acres with about 20 acres used for the corn maze, parking and other fun activities and 30 acres of woods. The remaining 50 acres is used to grow a variety of vegetables. Some of the produce grown on our farm includes pumpkins, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, purple hull peas, sweet corn, jalapenos, cabbage, turnip greens, collard greens, mustard greens, summer squash and okra. On the last weekend in June every year we have the Dixie Melon Fest to celebrate the watermelon harvest and in October we have the fall CornMaze and Pumpkin Fest. About four years ago we partnered with local farmer, Scott Ryan of Ryan Farms. Scott has grown upick and fresh market vegetables for years and brought his expertise to make the vegetable farming possible. All of the produce is picked fresh daily throughout the summer and sold at Scott's produce store right here in Dixie, LA. You haven't eaten watermelon until you've had one grown by Farmer Scott! Back in the woods next to the river we have haunted trails that are operated during the fall festival. We have chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigs and horses. The pigs are a big hit in the fall when we run the pig races. We hope you will enjoy DixieMaze Farms as much as we do - and we love it!
