Yav Ntuj Qub Qab (Of Distance and Time) Opening Reception

Photographer Richard Leonard Schultz writes, "Our vision was to create portraiture to celebrate the elder women of the Hmong community and preserve their legacies for their families, as well as the citizens and students of Minnesota and beyond. We have come to this understanding of what our project’s journey truly is: Of indomitable spirit and eternal beauty. Of past and present. Of East and West. Of Distance and Time." His portraits of Hmong elder women also celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hmong immigration to Minnesota. They will be on view at St. Paul's Monastery through September. All are welcome to the opening night reception where you can meet the photographer and some of the women of the portraits. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
