Wednesday at Noon Concert: Liquid Bricks

Liquid Bricks is a jazz trio. James Behrens (saxophone, piano), Ben Bostwick (bass) and Joe Hager (drums) play swing standards, ballads, and sambas, mixed with rock and soul.  Their expressive blend of styles and freewheeling energy elevates the mood and stimulates the mind.  The group has been performing regularly in downtown San Diego since 2021, exploring, blending and re-inventing an eclectic and evolving repertoire that spans the 20th century.  Key influences include the groundbreaking recordings of Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Thelonius Monk, Ahmad Jamal, Quincy Jones, and many more.
