Welcome to our Friday Night Film Discussions! Today we’ll be discussing “The Music of Silence" which is based on the true story of opera legend Andrea Bocelli and features Golden Globe nominated actor, Antonio Banderas.

The way it works:

PRIOR to the meeting (whenever works for your schedule), watch "The Music of Silence" on Kanopy - one of the library's video streaming services - and then come to the meeting prepared to discuss!

Synopsis:

THE MUSIC OF SILENCE tells the story of Amos, who is born with the gift of superb vocal talent, but he is also nearly blind.  Driven by great ambition, Amos does not give up despite repeated challenges until he manages to achieve his first great success on stage. From there, he begins a life studded with victories and becomes one of the most celebrated opera singers in the world.
