Celebrating Winter on the Northern Plains
Vinterfest is a month-long celebration of winter, here on the Northern Plains. The festival seeks to promote educational, recreational, and cultural heritage programming throughout central North Dakota for the public’s enjoyment. From artisan workshops to cross-country skiing, Vinterfest invites you to learn new hobbies and share in time-honored traditions.

Crochet Community Time for Teens

Bismarck Memorial Veterans Memorial Library
6th-12th graders are welcome to stop by Teen HQ to work alongside other crocheters. Whether teens are picking up a crochet hook for the first time or are seasoned crocheters seeking help with a tricky pattern, they are welcome here.
Sherry Schatz from Start to Finish Sewing Company will be available to answer questions and introduce new crocheters to basic stitches and tools.
Yarn and hooks will be available to use, or attendees can bring their own projects.

Learn how to make rosettes; sweet, crispy, fritter cookies traditionally dusted with confectioners’ sugar.
The name rosettbakkels comes from the Norwegian culture. Rosettes are typified by their lacey pattern.
