Please join the St. Peters Veterans Memorial Commission for our annual Veterans Day Ceremony as we honor the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces. This free event begins at 10 a.m. at the Cultural Arts Centre at City Hall.
Our two guest speakers for the event are Sergeant Major Serena J. Rowan, U.S Army (Ret.); and Commander Patricia Lee, U.S. Navy Reserves.
Rowan is a distinguished leader and dedicated public servant with an extraordinary 30-year career in the United States Army, culminating as a Sergeant Major (E-9).
Lee began her service with the Navy Reserves in May 1995. During her service, she was deployed to Corpus Christi, Texas, after the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001, and to Djibouti in 2017. She is currently assigned to the Navy Reserve Unit Officer Training Command in Newport, RI, where she teaches New Accessions into the Navy Officer Corps. She also currently works as part of the Navy Funeral Honors team.
