The Sam Grisman Project was born from Sam's deep connection to the timeless acoustic music created by his father, David Grisman, and Jerry Garcia in the early '90s. Growing up surrounded by their joyful, heartfelt collaborations, Sam was inspired to carry that legacy forward. The project celebrates the spirit, sound, and friendship behind those iconic recordings—while also introducing original music from Sam and his close-knit band of collaborators.
In 2025, Sam and the group will join forces with family friend and bluegrass legend Peter Rowan to bring the beloved music of Old & In The Way back to the stage in a special run of performances honoring its legacy.
