Outdoor Concert - The Morning Larks

Normal LIVE (part of the Town of Normal Cultural Arts Department) produces a live music series of evening concerts at Uptown Circle from late spring into early fall. All performances are free and open to the public.

One fateful night in 2018, three women walked into a pub in north central Illinois, each wielding an instrument - one a guitar, another violin, and the third a ukulele. They were shirttail musical kin, though they had never played together as a trio until that serendipitous moment when their three-part harmonies and stringed instruments blended together naturally during a semi-spontaneous guest performance. Today, this trio comprised of ukulelist Emily Williams, guitarist Christina Eltrevoog, and fiddler Sarah Arter is known as The Morning Larks, and can be found roving about central Illinois, delighting audiences with their original compositions, traditional Irish ballads, lively fiddle tunes, and unique interpretations of popular songs.
