Featuring the works of Brandon Postow and Katie Brinkley

The Siren’s Mirror invites viewers into a realm where myth and reflection intertwine-where longing, illusion, and the pull of nature converge. Artists Brandon Postow and Katie Brinkley explore emotional tides through a collection of acrylic and mixed media works that shimmer with kaleidoscopic patterns and mirror-like illusions, evoking the mysteries of the siren and stories that echo through time.

This exhibition moves fluidly between the call of nature and mythological whispers. These pieces reflect dualities: twilight and dawn, surface and depth, reality and illusion. Each work acts as a portal-inviting viewers to lose themselves in mirrored worlds and refracted myths, to consider what truths hide within reflection.

Please join us for an opening reception on September 6, 2025, 1 to 4pm, for our opening. Meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments. Bring your friends and family.

The guest artist for this month is Melissa Wilson. He artistic journey is rooted in a deep connection to Detroit, exploring themes of urban decay, resilience, and the enduring beauty of architecture. She has over 25 years experience teaching high school Fine arts.

While Detroit is a city close to Melissa’s heart and remains central to her work, she is excited to expand her lens. In this show, Melissa captures not just Detroit, but also includes North Beach and its surrounding areas. Through her work, Melissa invites viewers to look more closely at the stories embedded in our built environments, to find beauty in what remains, and to reflect on what is worth preserving.
