Learn about the remarkable relationship between a Wall Street lawyer (Stimson) and an Army lifer (Marshall), when they were paired together by President Franklin Roosevelt in June 1940 to prepare the nation for war and then spent four more years fighting it after Pearl Harbor. Written on his commute from Connecticut to New York City each day, Edward Aldrich offers insight on each man’s life and focuses on how their efforts to prepare for and then fight World War II were considered a great feat in management in the history of the world.

After attending Colgate and receiving an MBA in finance from Boston College, Aldrich embarked on a 35-year career in international banking (UBS, Deutsche Bank, Mizuho).
