Paige Barnett Kulbeth is a Louisiana/NYC-based dancer and artist from Lafayette, LA, where she graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In NYC, Paige has danced for Marc Jacobs, Karole Armitage, Christina Noel & The Creature, MeenMoves, and is currently a company member of Dance Heginbotham. She has performed with musicians from Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, The Knights NYC, jazz guru Ethan Iverson, and Yo Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project violinist Colin Jacobsen. Notable performance venues include Jacob’s Pillow, San Diego Music Society Festival, Scottsdale Arts, The Ringling Museum, and Bryant Park NYC. Paige is also “Birdie” in Isaac Mizrahi’s productions of Peter and The Wolf and Third Bird, held annually at the Guggenheim Museum. In Lafayette, Paige began her professional career with Clare Cook’s Basin Dance Collective while simultaneously creating her own local performance art installations: a rework of Tina Girouard’s Mardi Gras Suites and Quartets 1974 held at Acadiana Center for the Arts (AcA), a dance-and-opera titled A Song of Visions (funded in part by ArtSpark and a Rural Express grant by SouthArts) and the 2022 premiere of a new experimental dance work, 4-Letter Word, in collaboration with electronic musician and animator Stuart Welch. She most recently helped form the experimental art collective, LOUDHOUSE, which debuted their first group show in September 2023. Paige’s ongoing work combines elements of dance, acting, and cinema to push the boundaries of conventional performance.
