Get ready to show off your pumpkin-spitting skills at our annual Pumpkin Seed Spitting Contest on Saturday, October 11, 2025!
Here are the rules & regulations:
-- Age groups: 7 & Under, 8-15 years, 16 years old & Over.
-- Limited to the first 10 contestants in each age group, so hurry up and secure your spot!
-- Registration starts at 12:00pm sharp and closes at 12:45pm. Find us at the Registration Table by Nelson’s pumpkin shack.
-- Each contestant gets 3 chances to prove their spitting prowess.
-- The contestant who spits their seed the furthest takes home the glory!
-- The Seed Spitting contest will follow the pumpkin pie eating contest at approximately 1:30 p.m. Don’t miss out on the fun!
Admission is $15.00 +tax per person, and UNDER Three is free!
First place winners in each age group will snag a cool $25 cash prize! And in case of a tie, brace yourselves for a spit-off showdown!

Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest

Do you possess a superhuman pumpkin pie-eating prowess? Are you convinced you can out-chomp, out-nibble, and out-devour even the hungriest pumpkin enthusiasts? Well, gather ’round, my fellow pie enthusiasts, because the 2025 Pie Eating Contest is here to test your pie-eating mettle!
Date: October 11th Time: 1:00 pm (Make sure to arrive with your stomach fully stretched and your appetite in high gear!)
But wait, there’s more! It’s not just about the glory of gorging on pie – it’s about the official rules too. We’re making it trickier than a maze made out of pumpkin vines.
Hands behind your back – no sneak peeks or pre-pie nibbles allowed! Wait for the pie-loving signal to dive into your golden, gooey treasure. First one to finish their pie throws their hands up like they just don’t care (because they’re too busy celebrating their victory)! Our esteemed pie connoisseurs will determine if your pie has truly met its delicious demise.
Don’t forget, you must be 16 years of age to join in the pie-fueled mayhem. If you’re a sprightly 16-18-year-old, your parent has to sign that you’re up for this hilarious adventure (and possibly sign themselves up for future pie shenanigans).
Registration starts at noon and closes at 12:45, and the magic happens at Nelson’s Pumpkin Shack. And guess what? We only need 10 contestants for this contest. If we’re flooded with more than 10 pie gladiators than we can handle, then 10 names will be randomly drawn.
Assemble your pie-mates and pumpkin comrades for the ultimate feast-off and win some cold hard cash while you’re at it:
-- First Place Prize: $50.00 (cue the cha-ching sound effect!)
-- Second Place Prize: $25.00 (because second place is just the first loser in this pie-eating rodeo)
