Morehead City New Year's Eve Celebration

Time to make those New Year's Eve plans and Downtown Morehead City is the place to be! Kids of all ages will enjoy family friendly activities

Join the Town of Morehead City and Downtown Morehead City, Inc. for our "Downtown Countdown," and NYE festivities. Activities will begin at 5:30pm at Big Rock Landing, in front of the Big Rock Fountain, with games, music, face painting, coloring, and a 6:00pm crab pot drop! This event is family-friendly, and all are welcome!

The evening continues with shopping and dining throughout the downtown district, and closes with a grand finale of fireworks and the large crabpot drop at midnight. Find a spot along the waterfront to enjoy a fireworks show over Sugarloaf Island, and countdown to the New Year with us as we lower the big, brightly lit crab pot!
