Mond(e): is a performance installation and community art project created by Irene Hsiao as part of her year-long residency at Hyde Park Art Center that bridges places and people, times and cultures. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.

Monde: Earthshine  The earth's light on the moon's face, where harmony and dissonance may both be exalted in dance and song.

Solomon Bowser is a dancer and choreographer from the red clay hills of Stone Mountain, GA. When he's not dancing, Bowser serves his community through his work at See Chicago Dance.

Irene Hsiao is a dancer, writer, and multidisciplinary artist. She creates performances in conversation with visual art in museums, galleries, and public spaces, a practice that includes site-specific interaction with visual artworks and experimental engagement with artists, institutions, and the public.

Composer, flutist and vocal artist Janice Misurell-Mitchell draws on the energies and sounds of urban life to construct her musical palette. Her music explores relationships between different areas of expression - traditional sounds and extended techniques, sound and text, sound and movement, aural and visual forms, classical and popular forms.

Julian Terrell Otis he or him a creative vocalist, improviser and composer is known for bringing fresh perspective, nuance, and "high drama" to the contemporary music world. Julian's goal is to integrate music, dramatic instincts and experiential elements to create moments for contemplation and social action amongst his audiences.
