SIMONE DINNERSTEIN  is an American pianist with a distinctive musical voice. The Washington Post has called her “an artist of strikingly original ideas and irrefutable integrity.” She first came to wider public attention in 2007 through her recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, reflecting an aesthetic that was both deeply rooted in the score and profoundly idiosyncratic. She is, wrote The New York Times, “a unique voice in the forest of Bach interpretation.”

Since that recording, she has had a busy performing career. She has played with orchestras ranging from the New York Philharmonic and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra to the London Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale Rai. She has performed in venues from Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center to the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Seoul Arts Center and the Sydney Opera House.

CAROGA ARTS ENSEMBLE, directed by cellist Kyle Price, is comprised of top professional musicians from around the country who have performed at the Caroga Lake Music Festival. Performers include top competition prizewinners, School of Music faculty and members of America’s leading orchestras and chamber groups. In the 2018-2019 season, Caroga Arts Ensemble made its debut at Ravinia Festival (Highland Park, IL), presented a weeklong educational residency at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (Saratoga Springs, NY) , and performed at Chicago’s Symphony Center, Maverick Concert Series (Woodstock, NY) and TED-x Oaklawn (Oaklawn, TX). Other past appearances include Maverick Concert Series, L.L. Bean’s Summer in the Park Series, and Proctors Theater.

ALEXANDER PLATT has built a unique career spanning the worlds of symphony, chamber music and opera as conductor, music director, curator and host. Based in Chicago and New York, he is Music Director of the La Crosse Symphony, the Waukegan Symphony, and the Wisconsin Philharmonic; he spends his summers as Music Director of the Maverick Concerts in Woodstock, New York, the oldest summer chamber-music festival in America.

KYLE PRICE, cellist, and member of the Cavani String Quartet, is nationally recognized for his multi-faceted musical career, innovative leadership style, and his advocacy for collaborative programing in the arts and humanities. His profound love of chamber music began as part of a family of dynamic musicians at The Chamber Music Connection, (Columbus) where he had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected and acclaimed musicians of our time, including members of The Cleveland, Cavani, Emerson, Guarneri, St Lawrence, and Brentano String Quartets.
