Living Connecticut History: A Child of the Amistad with Tammy Denease

Grades 3+ (ages 9+). Sarah Margu, a child enslaved aboard the schooner Amistad, is brought to life by performing artist and storyteller Tammy Denease. Through her vivid living history portrayal, learn more about Margu’s life before, during, and after her enslavement. This program is presented and sponsored by Discovering Amistad & Connecticut Humanities. Registration is not required to attend. However, please register if you'd like your child to receive a free copy of “Africa Is My Home: A Child of the Amistad” by Monica Edinger.
