Kerrytown Concert House welcomes back Ann Arbor’s own Klezmer band, Klezmephonic! Since its inception in 2014, Klezmephonic has become one of the busiest and the most sought-after Klezmer bands in Michigan. Being deeply embedded in the tragic and glorious history of Jewish life, Klezmer music can only be fully understood and appreciated in the context of that life, and its historical, social, and spiritual aspects. Amidst frolicking freilahks and sirbas, wailing clarinet and sobbing violin, Klezmephonic will tell a story of strength, tenacity, and limitless beauty of the poetic narrative of simple Jewish life. Don’t miss what is sure to be an incredible evening of cultural music in KCH’s salon-setting.
Arrive a little early (doors open at 7:00 pm), as this performance will include a wine cash bar with Kosher wine offerings in the mix!
Jennifer Goltz, vocals
Henrik Karapetyan, violin
Eric Schweizer, clarinet
Mike List, percussion
Dave Sharp, bass
