Join the Woodstock Film Festival for IT’S NEVER OVER, JEFF BUCKLEY, followed by a Q&A with director and producer Amy Berg. The evening will also include live musical performances in honor of Buckley's enduring influence, in the Bearsville Theater lobby.
Rising musician Jeff Buckley had only released one album (which was recorded in Woodstock) when he died suddenly in 1997. Now, never-before-seen footage, exclusive voice messages, and accounts from those closest to him offer a portrait of the captivating singer. Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, this film takes a deep dive into the artistic spirit that made Buckley’s one-in-a-generation voice and boundary-pushing artistry resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit The Institute for Animal Happiness, a not-for-profit animal rescue and vegan organization founded by Rebecca Moore, a longtime animal rights activist featured in the film. Buckley's love for animals was well-known amongst his friends, and a part of IFAH's mission will always be dedicated to honoring that, and his personal evolution on animals and their sentience.
