Join film historian Jason Bruecks for a series of fantastic films that highlight moving stories of childhood and exemplify high-quality worldwide cinema.
Bim, the Little Donkey (1951) and The Red Balloon (1956)
Our first film takes place in an Eastern country, where a poor young boy only has a little donkey, Bim, who shares all his games. But Bim is coveted by the boss's son. The two friends will have a lot to do to stay together. We'll also screen the beloved French short film in which a red balloon with a mind of its own follows a little boy around the streets of Paris.
This series is made possible by a generous gift from Gerald and Lori Ernst.
