Schedule:

The Film Lovers in Carroll County (FLICC) select four international films that broaden our view of cinema. This year’s films immerse audiences in new cultures and stories, from a toilet cleaner in Tokyo who reflects on finding beauty in the world, to a man embarks on an emotional journey to find his first love, to the two-bit Berlin criminal Manni (Moritz Bleibtreu), to a Parisian taxi driver and his elderly passenger.

1:00 pm Perfect Days (partial nudity, in Bathhouse scenes)

Hirayama feels content with his life as a toilet cleaner in Tokyo. Outside of his structured routine, he cherishes music on cassette tapes, reads books and takes photos. Through unexpected encounters, he reflects on finding beauty in the world.

This film is directed by acclaimed German New Cinema Director Wim Wenders. We are also showing his documentary Anselm in January.
