Americana and Folk
Chastity Brown

Based in Minnesota but with roots in Tennessee, Chastity Brown grew up surrounded by country and soul music. In her childhood church, she played saxophone and drums, found her singing voice, and developed her passion for music. She soon began writing her own songs on guitar, incorporating elements of jazz, blues, R&B, and folk.

She’s been featured in NPR’s “Favorite Sessions,” CMT, American Songwriter, the London Times, Paste Magazine and others. Along with tours of the United States and Europe, Brown’s subsequent albums take on a more deeply layered sound, incorporating elements of rock and pop into releases like 2017’s Silhouette of Sirens and 2022’s powerful Sing to the Walls. Brown’s stories are delivered in a style that feels remarkably timely, modern, and forward-thinking.
