Christmas in July Light Walk

Saturday, Jul 19, 2025 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue
169 Black Hill Rd

Embark on a Twinkling Trail Adventure!  Stroll along our scenic half-mile woodland trail (with a little uphill at the end!), now beautifully lit with the warm and inviting glow of Christmas lights. Let the unexpected combination of summer and holiday spirit spark your imagination! Keep your eyes open for charming Christmas-themed decorations that will add a touch of winter wonder to the summer night. It's a peaceful and enchanting walk for the whole family to enjoy.

Important Note for Your Evening Stroll: Please wear comfy, closed-toe shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit earthy - we're still exploring nature at twilight!

More Than Just Lights: Supporting a Heartwarming Cause! Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue and Sanctuary is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving rescued horses and donkeys a second chance at a happy life. This Christmas in July Light Walk is a donation-based fundraiser, and every contribution helps us provide the care and upkeep these wonderful animals deserve. Your presence and generosity on these evenings make a real difference.

No Tickets Needed – Just Bring Your Warmth! That's right, entry to this magical nighttime event requires no advance ticket purchase! Your kind donations are what allow us to continue our mission of rescuing and caring for equines. We invite you to share in the festive spirit and support our cause.

Want to Lend a Helping Hoof (Through Your Support)? We appreciate your support! Please take a look at the information below before reaching out, as our volunteers will be focused on ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our visitors during these special evenings.

Making Your Nighttime Visit Safe and Enjoyable:

Footwear First! For everyone's safety (including little adventurers!), please wear closed-toe shoes or boots. No sandals, flip-flops, or heels allowed as the trail can be uneven in the dark.

Keep it Clean and Green: No smoking, vaping, or alcohol is permitted on the property. Please do not throw trash on the ground; kindly use the provided receptacles to help us keep our sanctuary beautiful under the stars.

For the Love of Our Animals: To prevent any unnecessary stress during their evening rest, please leave your own beloved pets at home during your visit.

The Gate Will Be Open (During Event Hours): Please arrive between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM on Saturday, July 19th or Saturday, July 26th. The gate will be open during these event hours to welcome you.

Nature's Path at Night: Please be aware that there are no paved areas. Navigating with wheelchairs, strollers, or wagons in the evening on the uneven, wooded trail is at your own discretion. Please proceed with caution and consider bringing assistance.
