Gordon, veterans affairs chair for the Ohio NAACP, has authored two short story collections and a syndicated column, served in the U.S. Navy, formed his own band, and launched a company, Gordon Enterprises.

He leads a YouTube discussion show about finding solutions to a community’s problems without getting stuck on our differences; tackles problems at the community level; and is committed to the improvement of our communities through art, action, and inclusion.

The Brown Bag Lunch series is free and open to everyone. Guests may bring lunch or purchase sandwiches, salad, and smoothies at Greatness Cafe in the Museum lobby. MassMu provides complimentary cookies and coffee for attendees. Galleries will be open before and after the Brown Bag Lunch.

This program is part of MassMu’s 2024 NEA Big Read. An initiative in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read broadens understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. The 2024 Brown Bag Lunch series is funded in part by the Massillonn/North Canton Elks Lodge 2029.

The Massillon Museum is grateful for operating support from the Ohio Arts Council, ArtsinStark, and the citizens of Massillon, as well as marketing support from Visit Canton.
