(ROGERS, Ark.) – Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area will host a free program on Beginning Nature Photography2:00 pm May 5, 2024, at the park’s visitor center.

There is always something to photograph out there in Nature: gorgeous wildflowers, bugs, or wonderful birds.  What does it take to capture these unforgettable photographs?  Tim Johnson, Nature Photographer with the Photographic Society of NW Arkansas, will guide participants through the “ABCs” of photographing wildlife and landscapes, plus how to utilize macro photography.  The hints you learn in this free class will allow you to be more successful in your new photo journey.

Johnson has led many nature photo walks in the local area, including winter eagle cruises at Hobbs State Park, and outings to area nature hotspots.  Tim recently traveled to Alaska to photograph landscapes and wildlife in remote backcountry areas of Wrangell-St Elias National Park.

Weather permitting, the group will  go outside for some hands on practice following the lecture.  Bring your curent camera.
