The Arizona National AQHA Horse Show is a time-honored tradition for horsemen and women from all over the West as they travel to participate in the AQHA-Approved Quarter Horse Show. Activities include Ranch Riding, Reining, Halter and rail classes along with a special Pro/Am Ranch Riding class for additional cost. As the last circuit show of the year, Scottsdale is the ideal location to exhibit young horses in preparation for the new year of shows.
The 59th annual Arizona National Horse Show will host exhibitors from across the Southwest at the renowned WestWorld of Scottsdale from December 12 –15, 2024. Events include an AQHA Pointed Show, All Breed Youth Horse Show and Youth Competitions.
The Horse Skill-A-Thon and Judging competitions are designed for youth to develop skills in the horse industry. Horse Skill-A-Thon is a knowledge-based competition where students are tested on breed ID, equipment ID, feed ID, tack ID and their general knowledge about horses and the industry as a whole. The Horse Judging competition tests student’s deductive reasoning and public speaking skills to evaluate halter and performance classes and then defend their decisions in the oral reasons portion of the contest.
