Memorial Day- Flag Pick Up in National Cemetery

Andersonville National Historic Site is currently planning the 2024 Memorial Day weekend events. Memorial Day is one of the most important annual commemorations at the park, when we remember and honor those who died in service to our country.

Each year the park conducts activities to commemorate the Memorial Day Holiday. 

Prior to the holiday, the Avenue of Flags is raised in the National Cemetery by Park Staff and volunteers. Throughout the weekend, we ask that you honor our veterans by visiting the National Cemetery.
